USAORCA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

October 14 & 15, 2023

IT'S TIME TO GET EXCITED!



USA's first National Championship will be held at a national rowing site in Sacramento, California


Nimbus Flat, Lake Natoma is operated by Cal State Sacramento's Aquatic Center

Race Divisions will replicate International Divisions from Junior 16 to Master 80! 

USA Mainland Associations, their member clubs and paddlers are invited to attend.

All V6 and V1 outriggers are being provided for this event, no personal craft allowed...

just bring your paddle and your V6 teammates! 


Events will included V1 500 Meter; V6 500 Meter (straight) and V6 1000* Meter (3 turns on 250 meter course) - heats and finals may be needed!  Eligible paddlers/crews will earn the right to represent USA at IVF World Sprints 2024

V6 ELITE

USA National  Championships will be used by USA Sprint Coach to select 18 open division elite athletes (men and women) for a training camp in 2024 from which he will announce the top 12 men and women to race Elite V6 for Team USA.  All interested athletes must run in the V1 events at this National Championship to be considered. Depending on interest by juniors, this could encompass a Junior 19 & Under Elite process also

V1 individual 500 Meter

All Divisions will run a 500 meter Championship (heats and finals where needed).  Top finishers will be offered a USAORCA allocated lane for the 2024 Hilo World Sprint Championships, August 2024. 

V6 CREW CLUB Racing - 500 Meter straight and 1000* meter (3 turn) Events

All Divisions will also run in 2 classes of events, straight sprint and turn races.  These are awarded separately.  Build your crew from your club paddlers or a mix from your association and join us for a weekend of great competition! 

Crews placing at this event will be offered USAORCA Lane allocations for the 2024 Hilo World Sprints.  Requirement for Hawaii 2024  will be 50% of the crew earning the allocation must compete or release their allocated lane.

*Master 70, 75 and 80 V6 Turn events are just 500 meter, 1 turn. 

All V1 candidates, prospective elite paddlers and V6 club crew paddlers must register by September 5, 2023  

Extended to OCTOBER 1  

Paddlers - complete the individual registration link on the home page and pay your $50 race fee

Coaches/Team Captains - Complete the crew entry form for each entry (one each for 500 meter straight & Turn event)  Be prepared with your paddler names (minimum of 3 must be identified to start the entry).
