2026 will see the IVF World Sprint Championships taking place in Asia for the first time!  The Va'a Association Singapore will host the 2026 International Va'a Federation World Sprint Championships, August 17-31 in Singapore. The V6 canoes are expected to be Kai Wa’a Hydra. The V1 canoe is between Fai 4Si and ARE designs. 

HOW to Qualify for Singapore 2026:

All U.S. competitors must attend the U.S. National Sprint Va'a Championship as the qualifier.  This includes V1, Elite V6 and Club V6 participation.   The Nationals is being hosted by the Pacific Northwest Outrigger Racing Canoe Association (PNWORCA) on Oct. 3-4-5, 2025 scheduled at Vancouver Lake Regional Park, Vancouver, WA.   

PADDLER Registration:  paddlers must register to race V1 and to be included in a V6 Team entry 

TEAM Registration:  A coach or team captain must register all 6 members of their V6 Team entry for each race they intend to participate (500 Meter straight sprint; 1000 meter turn races on 250 meter course)
